Flight Intelligence 1.0 Drone Workshop
Flight Intelligence 1.0 Drone Workshop
Held during the first
Saturday of EVERY MONTH
from 1-5PM in
From simple to cinema, we are grateful for the opportunity to shorten the learning curve of UAS piloting for you. Our intention is to teach basic flight maneuvering and flight operation awareness, so that with a little bit a mindfulness, your UAS flights will be fun and smooth.
From simple to cinema, hobbyist to commercial pilot; our intention is to encourage other drone owners to be safe, emotionally intelligent, and informed pilots. Our Flight Intelligence Drone Workshop 1.0 is the first step for any drone pilot, while also being the foundations level of our multi-level drone course that prepares students to take their commercial FAA Part 107 exam. The primary focus of this workshop is flight maneuvering, aircraft familiarization and registration, UAS regulations, and the value of pilot roles. Our Flight Intelligence 2.0 Drone Workshop is the next step in our Flight Intelligence Drone Workshop Series. While Flight Intelligence 1.0 is our primary foundations level packed with need-to-know essentials on flight operations, Flight Intelligence 2.0 addresses more technical aspects of being a UAS pilot such as pre-flight planning with airspace sectional charts, basic meteorology, along with camera and media management, and how to differentiate your drone company with Business Branding. The third and final Flight Intelligence 3.0 Workshop covers challenging flight patterns, airport operations, and reading sectional chart symbols.
According to National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) statistics, approximately 80 percent of all aviation accidents are caused by pilot error, the human factor. Many of these accidents are the result of the failure of instructors to incorporate single-pilot resource management (SRM) and risk management into flight training instruction of aeronautical decision-making (ADM). At Pilot EQ, we specifically integrate this type of training as taught by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) so you will face less crashes after taking our training!
What you get from our Flight Intelligence 1.0 Drone Workshop
1.) 4 HOUR PILOT EQ INTERACTIVE FLIGHT INTELLIGENCE DRONE WORKSHOP 1.0 TRAINING INCLUDES DISCUSSION ON FOLLOWING TOPICS:
DRONE FAMILIARIZATION: PLATFORMS, COMPONENTS, AND SYSTEM SET UP
Get to know your aircraft! Have you ever seen the movie Avatar? Your drone is going to become an extension of you, after all. We will discuss components like cameras, batteries, propellers, and flight apps to make sure you know your new best friend from the inside-out.
IT'S ALL ABOUT SMOOTH STICK INPUTS: PREPARING FOR YOUR FIRST FLIGHT
If this was Avatar, this is the time you would be learning how to 'plug into' your drone- but rather than it being from your hair, it's through your fingers. Up, down, left, right seems fairly simple and intuitive, but when we can manipulate the direction of 'left' and 'right,' such terms become confusing. We will discuss the learning curve of flying RC drones to eliminate as much frustration as possible in your learning experience. We'll start out by using mental visualization, practicing on simulators, and then it's time for hands on sticks!
AERONAUTICAL DECISION MAKING (ADM): UNDERSTANDING SITUATIONAL AWARENESS, AIRSPACE, AND NEEDED PILOT INTELLIGENCE FOR WHEN YOU’RE OUT IN THE FIELD
Know the influence on your flight and drone- from the pilot and weather, to physical obstacles to peer pressure. We will address these pivotal variables that affect the success of your flight. Knowledge in these areas requires experience, and we are happy to share ours with you. Approximately 80 percent of all aviation accidents are caused by pilot error, the human factor, so mindfulness through ADM will be one of the most important topics we address.
FLYING FOR FUN VS FLYING FOR WORK: EXPLANATION ON CURRENT FAA REGULATION
We don’t think you need to be a commercial drone pilot to be a PRO pilot! Know the lines of the law so you can focus on having fun without worries. Whether you plan on being a commercial pilot or not, it's important to know how the FAA defines the difference between flying for FUN VS flying for WORK.
DRONE INDUSTRY: A LOOK AT WHAT DRONES ARE BEING USED FOR TODAY
Welcome to the drone community! We'll touch on what everyone’s up to and how other pilots are applying their skills. Technology is being integrated into our society on a historically unparalleled level, and we will specifically discuss how many are using drones to make human lives more efficient and safer.
RPIC: UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT FAA PART 107 EXAM ENTAILS
What you need to study to be a Certified FAA Commercial RPIC (Remote Pilot In Command) and how to prepare a study guide to pass your Part 107 exam.
TRAVEL, WEATHER, AND EMERGENCIES: SITUATIONS, PROCEDURES, INSURANCE, AND PLAN C'S TO PREPARE FOR THE INEVITABLE “WHAT IF”
Packing your drone to avoid damages, keeping batteries warm before a wintery flight, and having a Plan B for unexpected issues are all topics that should be thought of before it’s too late. We’ll teach you how the pro’s manage their equipment so they can stay on the move in various conditions.
